Cathedral Basilica of Sandomierz
I was going to photograph the church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary last fall, during my previous visit in Sandomierz city in South-East Poland. However, the vaults and walls of the southern aisle were under renovation. Today, after a dozen or so years of various conservation work, also thanks to funds received from the European Union, this gothic temple erected around 1360 shines again. My attention was primarily drawn to the unique brown, gold and blue colors, richly ornamented organs, numerous paintings and beautiful rib vault. This truly is one of the most beautiful temples in Poland.
