Tenerife
In this post, I am sharing photos from Tenerife, a Spanish island located in the Atlantic Ocean and part of the Canary Islands archipelago. It’s an ideal place for a lazy vacation interspersed with excursions, such as a trip to the caldera of the Teide volcano or a cable car ride to its summit. The latter is particularly interesting because it gives EVERYONE the opportunity to take a walk at an altitude of 3500 meters above sea level. And that’s no small feat, as you can see how quickly you get tired when there’s significantly less oxygen in the air. At this altitude, it’s worth having a pulse oximeter to check your blood oxygen saturation. You might be surprised! Tenerife also offers the chance to observe how green one side of a hill can be while the other side is dry. It’s an opportunity to observe clouds from above, views of neighboring islands in the archipelago, gray-black beaches, and several hundred meters long tongues of solidified lava.
Let me know if you need any more help!
Pro-tip: if you’re in Tenerife, be sure to rent a car for a day. It costs just 50-100 EUR, and in return, you’ll have a relaxed experience with truly unique, moon-like landscapes!
