Gamla Stan
Gamla Stan, the charming and historic heart of Stockholm, is the city’s old town. Its narrow, cobblestone streets wind between colorful townhouses and beautiful squares. As you pass by centuries-old buildings, you can feel the spirit of the past. In this part of the city, there are plenty of cozy cafés and restaurants where you can try traditional Swedish dishes like meatballs, fish, or the famous kanelbullar (cinnamon buns).
For me, Gamla Stan was primarily an excellent place for photography. Every corner is filled with picturesque views and intriguing architectural details. Colorful facades, charming alleys, and, among them, Stockholm’s narrowest street—Mårten Trotzigs Gränd. And Järnpojke, the sculpture of a boy gazing at the moon—it’s the smallest statue in Stockholm.
Whether you’re a history enthusiast, culture lover, or simply enjoy beautiful vistas, Gamla Stan in Stockholm will undoubtedly provide unforgettable moments and stunning views.
